Kolpino Readings on Local Lore and Tourism were held

Among nearly three hundred events of the XI St. Petersburg International Educational Forum, the IV All-Russian scientific and practical conference "Kolpino Readings on Local Lore and Tourism" was a bright and significant event, included in the Calendar of All-Russian events in the field of supplementary education for children and adults, upbringing and children's recreation in 2021 of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.

The conference was attended by 55 constituent entities of the Russian Federation, Ukraine and Kazakhstan; representatives of the pedagogical community from Belarus, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan joined the videoconferencing communication platform of the Education Committee. The total number of participants of the conference was almost a thousand people.

At various discussion platforms, 41 reports were presented in the face-to-face format and 50 reports during the online session. 3 volumes of the conference materials are being prepared for publication. 333 authors submitted their articles in 270 publications, 90 of them are PhD and 15 of them are doctors of science.

From year to year, the number of supplementary education teachers and teachers representing the experience of tourist and local lore history activities from almost all regions of Russia is growing. The materials of the collections will be available in the Scientific Electronic Library eLibrary.RU – the largest Russian information and analytical portal in the field of science, technology, medicine and education.

During the conference there were discussed the following issues: "Children's tourism" and "Local history: guidelines for innovative search". As a result of the discussion the resolution contained a number of recommendations for the development of children's and youth tourism and local lore history. According to the Federal Center for Youth Tourism and Local History, "Kolpino Readings on Local Lore and Tourism" are currently unique and have no counterpart in Russia.

The event was held in cooperation with social partners. The conference was organized by: the Education Committee of the Government of St. Petersburg, the Education Department of the administration of the Kolpinsky district of St. Petersburg, the Palace of Creativity of Children and Youth of the Kolpinsky district, the Federal Centre for Youth Tourism and Local History, the Children's Health and Educational Tourist Centre of St. Petersburg "Baltic Coast", the St. Petersburg City Palace of Youth Creativity, the Russian State Pedagogical University named after A. I. Herzen, St. Petersburg Academy of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education, Pushkin Leningrad State University, the Republican Centre for Ecology and Local History of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, Information and Methodological Centre of the Kolpinsky district of St. Petersburg, the scientific and methodological magazine "Geography and Ecology at 21st century school", the popular science magazine for children and youth "Young local historian".
